Ordering a Gemstone
To place your order please send us a quick email with the name, carat weight and stock # of the gem that you are interested in.  We will confirm (as soon as possible) the receipt of your order with an e-mail, and will mark the gem as reserved for you.  We will make every effort to notify you on the home page if we will be out mining for an extended period of time and unable to confirm your order promptly. If you live in California please include California State Sales Tax of 7.25% on the total cost or provide us with your CA state resale # if the purchased items will be used for resale.  Please send all payments in US Dollars.  Payments may be made with a personal check, money order, PayPal, or credit card.  Customers without existing accounts will have personal checks held for 5-7 business days.

Shipping and Insurance
New Rates (May, 2007), New Policy: Unfortunately, with the recent increases in postal rates, we can no longer afford to offer free shipping (bummer).  Shipping and Insurance costs will now be $5.00 for all orders under $500 in value, and $15 for all orders over $500. This will include all of the auction winning bids and eBay as well.  All items are shipped by the US Postal Service.  All requests for shipping by United Parcel Service (UPS) and Federal Express will be billed at the actual shipping charges.   I really regret having to begin to charge for shipping on all orders, our shipping costs skyrocketed last year, and shipping is now our single greatest overhead cost.

Return Guarantee
You may notify us (by e-mail or phone) within ten days that you wish to return any item.  All that we ask is that the item is in its original condition.  We will reimburse you for the return postage by standard insured or registered mail.  Promptly notify us and your postmaster of any packages that have been damaged in shipping, or are overdue by more than two weeks.

Trade up Policy
We will accept any gemstone back for 100% of the original purchase price as a credit toward a stone of the same type. (i.e. a return of a ruby that cost $100 as credit of $100 towards another ruby)  Please note that the trade in must be in its original condition, please don't let a jeweler hammer an emerald into a bezel setting and expect to use it as a trade up credit in the future.
